The skies are becoming crowded. Drones and traditional aircraft are sharing increasingly complex airspace. Both clueless and nefarious drone pilots create safety and security concerns in our communities, including disaster response operations. Current laws and regulations regarding Counter-UAS can be confusing and limit who can use certain technologies. Thankfully, there are steps that can be taken now by localities to begin to build their airspace awareness and security program.
