Disaster recovery is an ongoing process, and the quicker you take control of it, the easier it is to influence the outcome. Integrate recovery into the normal structure and flow of your community to minimize disruption. Recovery alone cannot solve every pre-disaster problem, so focus efforts on making targeted gains. Above all, do not build what you cannot sustain and do no expect the future to be the same as the past.

Matthew is a nationally recognized subject matter expert in the development of public policy, program and project management, research, and quantitative analysis focused on assisting State and local governments, NGOs and private non-profits with federally funded CDBG, CDBG-DR/MIT, HOME, RAD, ESG, NSP, CCDBG, SAMHSA, SSBG, EDA, HHS, FEMA PA, and HMGP programs.
