Tracy Fanara
Tracy Fanara is an environmental engineer, scientist, and television presenter with a BS, ME, and PhD from the University of Florida. Tracy storm-chased her way through graduate school with expertise in flood forecasting, engineering design, ecotoxicology, microbiology, oceanography, and water treatment. As a Program Manager at Mote Marine Laboratory, Tracy developed citizen science programs for data collection gaining over 2million users. Tracy served as the Coastal Modeling Portfolio Manager for NOAA, managing coastal and ocean modeling efforts. She founded Inspector Planet LLC which provides STEM camps and science communication services. She is also the COO of Project ENKI, a flood intelligence and risk communication focused non-profit. Tracy was named Xylem’s Mission: Water Hero, and was featured in Marvel’s Unstoppable Wasp leading to her comic series, Seekers of Science. Tracy has presented on National Geographic, History, Discovery’s Shark Week and Mythbusters, Weather Channel’s Weird Earth, FOX Weather and ABC’s Animal Outtakes.
