The 2022 Natural Disasters Expo: Mitigating the Consequences of the World’s Most Costly Disaster
The Natural Disasters Expo launch at the Miami Beach Convention Center on February 7th & 8th for the world's leading expo in mitigation & recovery from natural disasters was a huge success! The expo welcomed thousands of natural disaster specialists, government officials, weather experts, and first responders to learn about the impacts of emergency management & disaster relief efforts happening across the globe. On February 7th, doors opened with a special ribbon cutting ceremony presented by Roderick Scott & Tom Little from the Flood Mitigation Industry Association (FMIA). Our visitors crowded our keynote stages as global leaders from FEMA, DHS, NASA, NOAA, University of Miami & more convened to discuss the future of technology and services that offer protection & preparedness against severe weather. The Natural Disasters Expo featured over 100 speakers covering topics on early warning detection, prevention, mitigation, management, insurance, relief, and everything in between!
Over 300 leading expert suppliers were onsite providing live demonstrations giving visitors a chance to see their products in action! These suppliers offer a wide range of services, and technology that can help save a home or business from a natural disaster. Attendees were also privy to the exclusive Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Networking Center. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.
During this convention, the Natural Disaster Innovation Awards is proud to recognize three companies for showcasing astonishing innovations, penny-wise & life saving solutions. These companies were selected by our VIP Judges who are global experts in mitigation and recovery from natural disasters.
