RoGO Communications has created a brand-new device called DropBlock. DropBlocks are small, portable, lightweight satellite-enabled communication devices that connect All-Hazards First Responders, Wildland Firefighters and others in austere, remote or cellular-denied areas.

DropBlocks fit in a backpack or cargo pant pocket. They send data over the Iridium satellite constellation using a tiny antenna. DropBlocks:

1) Shows GPS location of crews and equipment

2) Enable point-to-point communications so crews can coordinate and align their tactical efforts at the edge

3) Act as a RAWS weather station: We transmit the same info as a $31,000 RAWS station for about $1,500 per year

4) We display data right on your smartphones when operating in a cellular-denied area…the RoGO app talks to the DropBlock over Wi-Fi, and the DropBlock talks to everyone else over satellite.
