Hassett Moving & Storage was founded in 1939 and became one of the original agents for Allied Van Lines in Chicago, IL. In 1980 a new subsidiary, Hassett Air Express, was formed to offer freight forwarding services.



In October, 2013, then-President Michelle Halkerston purchased the company, combining the air and ground services under a newly formed entity, Hassett Express, LLC.



In 2019 Hassett developed a strategy to further improve the customer experience and expand our service offerings by focusing on 3 core areas: Network/eCommerce, Specialized, and Expedited Services. In 2020, to better reflect our depth of transportation and logistics offerings, we unveiled Hassett Logistics as our go-to-market brand.



As a non-integrated forwarder, we attribute part of our success to the relationships that we have developed with our partners and our position of importance to them. Transporting over 300 million pounds of freight annually, Hassett is recognized as a top cargo customer by most of the commercial airlines and select number of ground carriers. Hassett’s product offerings are in no way limited to specific commodities and our customer base is comprised of organizations from a wide array of industries. With the end goal never deviating from on time delivery, we provide secure, convenient, multi-mode solutions to our customers’ transportation questions. Supporting this ability is our in-house team of professional drivers, as well as a network of over 225 local agents and expedited transport suppliers.
